i need your opinions

so i was talking about making that modge podge wall art thing and i finally found where i got the idea.

check it out.

here are some of the pics from the sight . . .

then tell me what you think. i really thought it was cute and i wanted to do it above my tv, since i have lived in my house for like 2 years and not put anything there . . . but i couldn't find any square canvases - i did find some 18"x24" ones and decided that three in a row would be cute and fill up the bigger space that i have . . . but i would have to create some sort of different design on each to make the paper fill all the area. would that be way ugly? the way i am picturing it in my head, i think it will be cute, but i guess i am just wondering if you gals out there have any other ideas . . . so let me know!!!!

i wish i was an artist and could just paint a cool tuscan scene across them all. wouldn't that be cool!

Dude.. just become an artist.. What are waiting for? No, I def.. see the potential in them. What color scheme are you going for? I know what you mean on the empty space above the t.v.. so boring (for my room that is)..

I think that three would be good. I hate it when you have a picture in your head, and for some reason you just can't get what you want.. Happens to me all the time.. Uggh.. Good luck. Sorry no help. Can't wait to see the pics of the finished product. :)

well 1st off, if you go with 3-one can be me laughing, one crying and one being mean. I can give you some photos and you can just have them printed on the canvas. I'm really photogenic (sp) and pretty-it would look great!

I think that is so cute! My sister in law did the same kind of thing but did four and she hung them pretty close together and it was super cute. Also I have a tip for you if you don't already know this.. If you use a pan scraper to flatten out the page after you modge podge it gets all the wrinkles and air pockets out.

I love those. I love the 8 of them together. I bet you could but some wood squares instead of canvas or have your bro's cut you some.

Becky...I am gonna do something very similar too...I just saw an idea for it last week on the Michael's website. I am gonna do styrofoam and cut it into 12x12 squares and then the paper and then do ribbon on the sides so I don't have to paint. The kids are gonna do this too...to make bulletin boards for their rooms. I thought this would be a good way for them to do it and keep it inexpensive! Anyway..check out Michaels site and see what you think!
