my mom moved.

so weird.

the house i grew up in is no longer where memories will be made.

i thought that i would take my kids there and have christmas and thanksgivings . . . and after the initial sadness of walking around it's empty rooms, i am okay with it. my mom and the few kids still at home have moved into a gorgeous new home that is perfect for them! she had a HUGE garage sale yesterday and you can only imagine how much was there after 15 years and 8 kids! it was really good for all of us to do some cleaning out and letting go. i have noticed that sometimes we let our stuff define who we are, and by letting a little bit or a lot of it go, it can simplify our lives more than we imagined. so it has worked out perfectly for my mom and the kids . . . a good moving on experience.

Sad. Glad to hear you have a good perspective on it though. My parents have talked about downsizing as well, and it seems SO weird.

no way. That is weird to think that the Glauser home is no longer the Glauser home. Cool that they get a new place though

p.s. I am glad you are back blogging :)

Too weird. I don't want to think about it. But I know how pretty their new house is so that is lucky!

No way! That is wierd. It was really tough when my parents moved, I still have dreams in my old house and really miss it. It's always fun to get to know new neighbors etc. Tell Nan congrats on a new place. Your mom is so motivating, I would love to see your family this summer. I'm going to plan a get away to come see you. Whats the latest on your love life? Are you still dating Shane?

umm.. I'm miss commenter today. So I saw your family at Chili's today {I recognized Brad} So,I glance over and give a huge wave to a girl I thought was you {must have been a sister} The girl gave me the weirdest look and I was like " nope not Becky" . Embarrassing. Just thought I share my shame! ha ha

How exciting for your mom. I myself have many fun memories there. Watching movies in the basement. Eating crepes your dad made us after sleep-overs. And of course sneeking out, to go TPing! What fun we had.
