A Real Life Page Turner!!

So, about a month ago when I was camping with my family, my two lovely Aunts, Steph and Marie, suggested a book to me. They said it was one of the best books they've ever read. So I finished it last night. It really is such a good book! It took me longer than the rest of my family to read it because I was so busy with work and school, but it still only took me about two weeks. It was a total page turner. Previous to this book I had never really read a page turner. I soon realized this was the real thing when I was up until three in the morning reading a particularly intense part of the book and still turning pages. I was reading chapters more than I had planned and needing tape or some other object to keep my eyelids open. I was soooo tired but couldn't stop reading. I will admit it took a little while for me to get into the book, but once I hit page 160 I couldn't stop. My sister-in-law, Kendall, who was great with child when she read it, couldn't sleep at nights (Like a week before she had Kailyn). She finished it in one day and then a few days later bought the sequel and finished that in one day! It really is an awesome book! It costs like $7 or $8 dollars at Deseret Book or I am guessing any other book store and it is in the young adults section. You really need to read this book. And a little tip that my Aunts gave me - don't read the back of the book because it will give it away, at least until you are about half way through. You should also check out her website: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilight.html
I am slightly obsessed with this whole story now and am so excited to read the sequel. I really hope she writes a lot more. Supposedly there is a movie in the works. I realize I sound like a dork, but that is the best part of this. I haven't been this excited about a book in a long time! So go read it! Did I say that enough? Happy Reading!

TV on DVD . . .

So my roommate has all of the seasons of Sex and the City. There are 6 apparently. I haven't ever really watched it, except for the random re-runs that are sometimes on TBS. So one night, a few weeks ago, I innocently popped in the first DVD of season 1 and pretty much didn't stop watching. I just finished season 2 last night. I watched like 6 episodes in a row! There are so many more constructive things I could do with my time, but they are so good! The best part is, my bro, Scott will even get sucked into them sometimes, you know how that goes. First, you're standing behind the couch, then your sitting on the arm of the couch and next thing you know you are fully sitting on the couch cuddled up with a blanket! :) So good! But, I still haven't determined whether TV on DVD is a good thing or not. On the one hand I can watch it whenever I want and on the other hand I can waste my entire night watching! AAAHH! Pretty crazy, but I'll probably keep watching. I've done the same thing with Alias, 24, Friends and the 1st season of Greys Anatomy!!! I think I love TV on DVD! I just need to control myself! ;)

Camping in Big Sur, CA

May 24-27, 2007
Wow! So beautiful!

My family got invited to go camping with our cousins, the Neffs and the LeBarons, at Big Sur on the coast of California (in between LA and San Fran). So we decided to do it. It was worth the 12-hour drive with the family all stuffed into our big truck! (Can you imagine how much fun we had! It wasn't too bad, but Michael was in the back for most of the time. :) kiddin')

So here are some fun pics of our adventures. We also drove up PCH1 and visited the cute city of Monterey. We found sea glass on the beach and did the 17-mile drive through Pebble Beach! Nice golf courses and way nice houses! Monterey is such cute city with fun old houses and a cool little downtown. I have heard the aquarium is cool, too, but we didn't go. We did see a bunch of elephant seals on the beach, like hundreds, just off the highway on our way home. So that was fun!

Me and Sara at the Falls in the Big Sur Campground, on our little day hike!

Deflating the Tent! Me and Mom!

My awesome thermals!! Long Crotch! It was way colder than I thought it would be!! :)

Sculpting the Greazzzze in Scott's hair at Pfeiffer Beach!

Look at the size of that boys head sticking out of that tent!! It's huge!! Kiddin' Jeff!! Hi!

Pfeiffer Beach!!! Cool! Reminded us of Goonies!

Redwood Tree Hugger!!!
